Hampton Cove Schools
Residents of Hampton Cove are fortunate to have exceptional public schools, K-8, right in their neighborhood. Both the elementary and middle school consistently rank among the best in the Huntsville City School System. Conveniently, the schools are located side by side and connect to the Deford Mill neighborhood of Hampton Cove. This allows parents with both middle and elementary school children to have one drop-off. Also, children who live close enough have the option to walk to and from school. Great teachers, administrators and an active community of parents all contribute to the successes of our community public schools and provide a healthy atmosphere for students to learn and have fun.

Both Hampton Cove Elementary and Hampton Cove Middle Schools are Blue Ribbon Schools. Only a small number of schools from across the nation are selected each year for recognition as a Blue Ribbon School.
Public schools
Hampton Cove Elementary School
HCES was built in 1996 and is a member of the Huntsville City School System. HCES serves approximately 550 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
HCMS was built in 2003 and is a member of the Huntsville City School System. HCES’s mission is to be a premier center of excellence focusing on leadership and learning. It serves approximately 650 students in sixth through eighth grades.
Huntsville High School was remodeled in 2004 and is a member of the Huntsville City School System. HHS prepares all students to compete successfully and contribute responsibly in a global society. It serves approximately 1900 students in ninth through 12th grades.
