Job Title: Compliance and Architectural Review Officer
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: The Compliance and Architectural Review Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all properties within Hampton Cove adhere to the community’s rules, regulations, and architectural guidelines. This role involves conducting regular inspections, reviewing architectural plans, and working closely with homeowners to address any compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of properties utilizing SmartWebs to ensure compliance with community rules and architectural guidelines.
- Review and approve architectural plans and modifications submitted by homeowners.
- Communicate with homeowners regarding compliance issues and provide guidance on necessary corrections.
- Maintain accurate records in SmartWebs of inspections, approvals, and communications.
- Address and resolve complaints related to non-compliance in a timely and professional manner.
- Educate homeowners about community guidelines and the importance of compliance.
- Participate in community meetings and provide reports on compliance and architectural review activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of architectural design and community regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and diffuse difficult situations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in community rules compliance and homeowner architecture review processes within a homeowners association or property management organization is preferred but not required.
- This position is a non-telework role and requires the candidate to pass a drug test and background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compost Pickup for Madison County
Phoenix Glass, who brought glass recycling pickup back to Madison County, is now also going to pick up compost with their new-to-Madison-County venture, NewTerra Compost! Learn more about their program and their mission for “a local solution to a global problem” on their website.
NewTerra Compost provides homes, restaurants, education centers, hotels, businesses and events a better solution for disposal of food residuals and compostables.
Yards of the Month
Each month from May through October, Hampton Cove Garden Club members tour the community to select Yards of the Month in four areas.

Electric Bicycles
With the rising popularity of e-bikes, it’s more important than ever that parents and children are aware of the local laws that govern them. Please familiarize yourself with the legalities of owning and operating one of these devices before you or your child purchase one.

Golf Course Reminder:
Bicycles, E-Bikes, and personal carts are not allowed at any time on the on the golf course. Only those who have checked into the pro shop and paid to use the facility for their round of golf are allowed on the property. Residents can not access the course when going to or from the pool.
Political Sign Reminders
With election season upon us, please check out the HCOA Standards & Restrictions to ensure you’re within compliance for any and all yard signs!
Please see below for some relevant highlights from the S&Rs:
- Signs may be no greater than 26″ (inches) x 32″ (inches)
- Signs in windows still visible from the street and to neighbors must also be within HCOA compliance
Signs also:
- must be removed the day after the election
- cannot be offensive or contain any profanity
- no more than two (2) per property
- cannot create a sight obstruction or other safety concern
Please also be aware that flags are considered signage in this case, and must adhere to S&Rs. Flags must be hung from a flag mount either off your front porch or the side of your garage only. Flags may not be tacked or pinned under porch awnings or hung from trees, fences, shrubs, etc.
